The Ceremony: Wedding Wednesday

As I shared last week during Wedding Wednesday, we wanted to have an outdoor element to our day and the ceremony was the perfect way to do it. We really lucked out with a beautiful day. The sun was shining, there wasn't a chance of rain in sight and it all went smoothly.

My biggest fear was the deck. From the minute we toured our venue I said "Wow, that looks like a long walk" and even during the rehearsal it felt really long and it scared me. I did successfully make it down smoothly though.

Let's get to the pictures, because they're always the best part of this wedding business, right?!

Best Man dancing before the ceremony begins

Checking it all out

The programs

My sweet Gram and Chuck...this picture makes me cry instantly

Chuck & his Mama followed by his Stepfather Tim walking down the aisle

This picture makes me laugh--taking a BIG deep breath before the walk

My Groom waiting

This is one of the reason's why I love that we didn't do a first look...seeing that face at the end of the aisle

My heart

My Grandfather "Nanu" on the left and my Dad on the right

It was important to me to have these 2 very important men both walk me down the aisle

Getting closer....

We made it!

Ready to get married. Chuck's Stepbrother Evan was our officiant for the ceremony.

A view from up on the mountain of the ceremony.

It was hot...kind of blinded from the sun

A seriously beautiful day.
"You may now kiss the bride..."

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence

This walk was way easier than the first one

Finally Husband & Wife

All smiles!

Ready to party!

The ceremony was short, sweet, and just how we planned. Chuck's Stepbrother, Evan was our officiant and was a huge help planning it all. We had no idea how to begin, but he gave us some ideas on how he usually does things and we went from there to make it our own.

I chose to enter the ceremony on the arms of my Father and Grandfather in the classic Canon in D, but in acoustic guitar form and loved it. I loved the twist on a classic. Chuck and I exited to U2's Beautiful Day and once we got to the end we started dancing. We looked at each other and were like "We did it!" It was such a good feeling to be over the nerve wracking part of the day.

My nerves hadn't hit me until a few minutes before the ceremony began. I was lined up inside with my girls and we seemed to wait...forever. I started freaking out on what was taking so long and the more I thought about the walk the more nervous I got. My Grandfather came to see me and we had a little moment which calmed me down and before I knew it, it was time.

Chuck and I chose two readings, said our vows, incorporated a special moment and got married. I can't wait to share more details next week, along with more pictures of course.

Until next Wedding Wednesday....
