The Invitations // Wedding Wednesday

Before I go any further in showcasing moments from our wedding, I thought I would take it back a moment and tell you about our invitations. Truth is, we only looked at one website and we didn't even see them in person before we chose them as the final product.

I forget how I first heard about Wedding Paper Divas, but the first wedding item I ordered was from them. I love all the options on their website, and as I mentioned in my 5 Useful Wedding Websites post - it's really easy to browse.

You can search by type, color, style, etc...and they will even send you samples. I had samples sent to me for my bridal shower invitations too. It's so nice to get a feel for what you want, and then actually hold it in your hand. I received SO many coupon codes from them- at least one in every order, and usually one every few weeks when I signed up to get their e-mails.

Our wedding colors were purple and gold and I found a ton of beautiful options online and even received an array of samples to look through. While so many of them were really great, we couldn't narrow it down. Luckily, I kept getting back online and checking their website...and then we found them. These were definitely the ones.

The colors were what we were working with, the gold was perfect and they weren't too rustic or too fancy...just in between. A subtle classic glam look which fit our taste and needs.

We chose the "Fanciful Fonds" from Wedding Paper Divas and were thrilled with how they came out. They were so perfect for us and the touches of purple and gold made them the definite choice for our wedding. We framed one to display at our welcome table at the reception also.

For the wedding invitations, the only paper piece we ordered from Wedding Paper Divas were the actual invites. The response cards were created by Jen from The Paper Trail Company on Etsy. Jen was a complete gem to work with and happily communicated with me until I received the vision in my head.

The "details" were created by me in PicMonkey and printed to enclose with the invitations. I tried to choose font that was similar to our response card and added on a feather looking leaf design.

The address labels were also from Wedding Paper Divas and I chose the outer labels to match the front of the invitations and the labels for the responses to match the back of the invitations.  I love the way the whole look came together.

I also used Wedding Paper Divas for my bridal shower invites, and they were so perfect. I highly recommend checking them out, and they have far more to offer than just invitations which is great.

There are so many beautiful invitations out there, and I am really happy we found the absolute perfect ones for our special day. The little touches that brought it all together were my favorite part of the invivations.

What makes an invitation special to you?
