This taco casserole is pretty easy to make, only a few ingredients and a little work stand between you and a delicious dish. It's perfect for reheating and serving a crowd- so let's get to it.

You will need:
13x9 dish
1 large bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos
1 lb. ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups shredded cheese
1 package crescent rolls
1 can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. onion powder

To make:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Open crescent rolls and separate
Press rolls in to bottom of dish to make a base for the casserole
Brown hamburger and drain
Add taco seasoning with a little water and onion powder
Simmer for 5-7 minutes
Remove from heat and combine with tomato sauce in a bowl
Crush Doritos in to medium size pieces
*you don't want them to be too small in crumbs, so crushing them once with your hand worked            well for me
Layer 1/2 the Doritos on top of the crescent rolls
Layer 1/2 the ground beef on top of the Doritos
Layer with 1 cup of cheese

Repeat once more with the other half of Doritos and ground beef
Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees
Remove and top with additional 1 cup of  cheese
Bake for 15 more minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly

This was pretty easy to make, it just takes some patience to layer everything for each step. I would highly recommend trying this for your next fiesta or weeknight dinner with family.

What's your favorite taco dish? Have a great weekend-enjoy your Cinco de Mayo!
