12 Months With Baby Bella

I feel like it's the end of an era...the 12 month update for baby Bella.
This was by far the fastest year of my life. We celebrated Bella's birthday last week and it was so fun, I can't wait to see how she reacts as the years go on. I shared a letter to her on her first birthday, if you want to read it. Now- for the year one update!

Loves: Bella loves dancing, clapping, getting in to anything and everything, music class and seeing other kids and babies. Chuck taught Bella to give kisses and it's the CUTEST thing to see. We pucker our lips and she comes right on in, and sometimes even gives them out without me having to request them. I love it so much.

Not a fan of: Getting changed in any way, shape or form- whether it's her diaper, clothes, putting a coat on...she throws a fit for all of it and tries to climb the walls. HA! Also, poor girl got her first bad cold and ear infection this month. It was so sad seeing her so sick. The medicine made her even worse and she didn't keep much down for a few days- it was concerning, but she was on the mend after about 4 days and we are back to normal. Thank goodness!

Sleeping: Some nights lately, getting her to sleep is a chore- but she still sleeps a solid 10-11 hours at night without waking- thank you heavens! She naps well and never ever do I want to wake her from those. I made that mistake once, and never ever again.

Feeding: Bella loves to eat- she's started taking an 8 oz. bottle a few times a day and eats her baby food, some solids and snacks in between. This past weekend while traveling she ate about half of my quesadilla one afternoon and has been trying more new things. The past week I have noticed a big change and that she is eating a lot more- so we may be going through a growth spurt! Some new things she's tried are quesadilla, tacos, tuna noodle casserole, and some Doritos thanks to her big brother- HA!

Stats: She just had a checkup this week and is weighing in at 18.5 lbs and is 30.25 inches tall! She's in the 98th percentile for height and is growing so well. I think she lost some weight being so sick a few weeks ago, and with all this eating lately I'm sure she will keep on gaining in stride. She still has no teeth, but it doesn't seem to hold her back. She's been holding on furniture and our fingers and walking but hasn't taken her first steps on her own quite yet...but that can wait a little longer ;)

Favorite Moments and Things I Don't Want To Forget From Month 12: Our first visit to the pumpkin patch with Bella was perfect and so much fun. We had friends and their children in town not too long ago and it's fun to see them all together playing. Of course Bella's birthday party was so much fun and I can't wait to share all the details and pictures! Bella has been full of even more giggles and all her different little laughs are great to hear. I love watching her learn and explore and be in wonder of new things- like seeing a turtle for the first time! We visited the NICU on Bella's birthday and had the opportunity to donate some money and supplies we collected for a non-profit, Grady's Decision that helps NICU families like us. It was a special time and I hope she learns so much from this as she grows up. Another trip to North Carolina and more airplane rides are in the books, and Bella is such a good little traveler- I'm so thankful for how good she is on the plane! She attended her third wedding ...for Uncle Christian and Aunt Kayla and finally met her cousin Presley from Arizona. They had some playtime with their MiMi while some of us adults hung out at night and the picture updates we got were so cute.

Products We Are Loving: I plan to do a round-up of our favorite products from the first year and some must have's- but some newer things we have used and loved are:
Pink Backpack Diaper Bag
Vicks Waterless Vaporizer Plug-In
Speaking of products-We are STILL struggling to find the best sippy cup. We have a Munchkin one that has a top like a bottle that seems to be the best one Bella is getting the hang of, BUT it's SO messy. Any suggestions for something similar?

I can't even believe it's been one whole year of updates, stats, fun memories and love for my Baby Bella Charlie. I'm not sure when the next update will be, but I'm thinking at 1.5 years!
Thank you for all the love, support and sweet comments you always bring to our world- we are so appreciative and enjoy sharing our little babe with all of you.
Have a wonderful weekend!
