3 Things I Learned In Our 3rd Year Of Marriage

I can't believe it's already the end of September! Chuck and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary today so I wanted to share a fun post- and obviously look at the wedding pictures again ;)
Three things I learned this year in marriage:
1. Take advantage of the quiet time. Last year we celebrated in the hospital with wings and pizza. You make the best of whatever situation you find yourself in. I happened to be on bedrest with my pregnancy with Bella and it was one of the best nights in the hospital. I love that we can enjoy those quiet moments together and not want anything more.
2. You lift each other up. Be there for one another- you don't always have to be on top. This third year of marriage has been a quieter one in terms of crazy medical issues and that's definitely OKAY with me. We still learned how to figure out life with a newborn and I remember the nights that I was crying running on no sleep and Chuck would drive Bella around the neighborhood to attempt to get her to sleep- that's love. He was tired too- but he knew I needed it and took care of our needs first. Just being there for one another-taking turns making dinner, emptying the dishwasher or whatever else happens really means a lot.
3. The best is always yet to come. This was a really great year full of things to celebrate- a new baby, promotions, Ethan starting high school and other great times. You never know what life will bring, so it's important to enjoy every moment. But, the best is always yet to come. There's always going to be something else to celebrate- take advantage of those wins in life!

My hope for this next year is to have more opportunities to travel together and with the kids and enjoy new experiences. Happy Anniversary Charlie- You are forever the best part of me. Thank you for being by my side through it all- this is the good life. XO!
