Bella's Nursery

I am SO excited for today's post and have realized that talking home decor and baby stuff makes me super happy ;) It's time to reveal Bella's nursery...my most favorite room in our house.

When stuck on bedrest the first thing I worried about the minute they told me was missing Ethan's first day of school, next was how is the nursery going to get done when we basically didn't even start?
I kept putting off purchasing the crib for no good reason at all other than being lazy.
We had picked up a few things here and there and already had some things that we planned on using from our current decor- like a mirror and some pillows and other little things.
This nursery was truly a labor of love from our whole family. From Chuck surprising me and painting the walls which was unplanned and so sweet- it's called princess blush pink, how perfect! to our friends painting the crib with him, and my mother in law helping me put some final touches and build things...it was a special time for me.
Most of this got finished while Bella was in NICU, it was something I was able to focus on while here at home and still doing something special to be with her in some way. Chuck has been incredible helping build, place and do ridiculous things like put together a canopy for a reading nook she won't use for at least a few more years ;)

I've tried to link to every piece in here, because I'm one of those people that is always and forever dying to know where things came from when people share them because I need it all, tell me I'm not alone.
I started with the wall closest to the door and made my way around her nursery inch by inch with pictures and more. Enjoy!

We ended up changing some plans we had for decor, such as shelving, because as I thought about things I wanted Bella to be able to grow with her room. I wasn't sure if cloud shelves would work as she gets older, but these floating ones you can use anytime...so little changes like these were made along the way.
I'm not sure if you have a United Way Imagination Library in your area, but check it out if you do. It's a completely free program you can register little ones for to receive books in the mail each month. I signed Bella up once we knew her gender and due date, and this happened to be the first book she received, Bella's Rules! I put up some props we used in her newborn photos in the shelves and cute accessories she hasn't grown in to yet like her pink mocs and personalized headband.
I LOVE making flower letters for gifts and special occasions, but to be honest I was just too particular about Bella's and wasn't 100% in love with the flower selection I was finding and purchased, so I decided to add some flowers and spray paint the rest with gold sparkle to keep it simpler. I really love how the BC turned out, it's one of her nicknames already for Bella Charles.

You may remember the gold dream letters from my makeup area, and I thought they served a better purpose here where we want to remind Bella to always Dream Big. Our friends gifted us the pink letter board from our registry and I'm so excited to use it for fun things and photo props for Bella.
I'm so thrilled Target was loving pink and gold this holiday season as well, because it helped add some Christmas cheer in the perfect way with the bottle brush trees and sequin stocking.
Frou Frou & Frill is one of my most favorite places to shop all things accessories- scarves, bangles, accessory trays and more. The owner gifted this tray to me and I thought it would make the perfect addition as Bella's first accessory holder in her nursery.

Chuck found this glider and ottoman on Amazon for a steal- and it comes in SO many colors, and is really comfortable. I'm glad we chose it and the Bella pillow cover topped this little corner off well.

Target: Christmas tree

At Home: gold crackle ornaments , pink glitter ornaments & star ornaments

Target: crown ornament

Target: mouse ornament

Kirkland's: Baby's First Christmas ornament

Hobby Lobby: ballet slippers ornaments

If you know me at all, you know I put a tree in every room, and Bella's nursery followed those same rules of the Lawrence home. I went in to the At Home store one day on a whim and ended up finding the perfect bulb ornaments for her tree. I wanted to go with a Nutcracker theme and decided as the years come we will add to her tree, and what we have now is a good start.

Amazon: storage baskets for blankets and stuffed animals

Amazon: canopy net for reading nook

The reading nook corner of the nursery came about when I pulled some of these pillows out of my closet and thought they would look cute in Bella's room. I already wanted to use the Dream Big one, but thought the colors were all fun and girly together and would be nice next to her books. We used a simple storage bin we already had for most of her smaller books and I grabbed this canopy on Amazon. It's a steal, and not the easiest to assemble when you begin digging through the material, but once you get the hang of it- it's not too bad! Charlie did most of the work, of course.

Dream Big sign- antique gift painted gold

Amazon: crib- painted gold by Daddy and friends

Amazon: crib bedding

Target: set of 3 sunburst mirrors

Hobby Lobby: gold glitter wooden letter

Wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby one morning before work I found the gold sparkly B for $2 and thought it would go somewhere cute. I found these 3 mirrors still in the package in our garage from our wedding presents and decided to put it all above the changing table.
This Dream Big sign is probably my favorite part of her room. It was a special antique gift from my in-laws and was originally a light gray color that we spray painted sparkly gold. It pulls everything together and looks so pretty above her gold crib.

We have received so many compliments on her baby blanket and I got it with a coupon code from a boutique and the personalization was free- can't beat it.

Amazon: changing table

Amazon: changing table fitted sheets

Pottery Barn Kids: changing table caddy

Amazon: wipe warmer

Target: Diaper Genie

We wanted to paint the changing table gold also, but it was on back order for SO long and when it finally came in, Bella was due to come home any day from the vibes we were getting from NICU. Finally, it was just built instead of painted and built since we would need it right away. It doesn't look bad with the white next to the gold, but I do secretly (not so secretly now) wish it was gold too.

Target Dollar Spot: star string lights- similar

Marshall's (old): gold mosaic mirror- similar

Using things we already had really worked out, and I was kind of sick of this gold mirror in our bedroom, so moving it to Bella's nursery worked well because now I love it there. Target Dollar Spot for the win with these lights too, I just added them last week- a $3 score!
I'm over the moon with how it turned out, often times I find myself sitting in Bella's nursery looking around and smiling. This little space is so perfect for her and I hope she knows just how loved she is.
Thanks for looking around, I hope you enjoyed checking it out as much as we did putting everything together.
Do you have a favorite room in your home?
