I know I'm talking to a lot of people right now. I know that to be true because life isn't always easy and at some point or another we've all struggled.
I also know that it's not easy. When you're inside of the situation it may be hard to realize what exactly is going on or why you're in this position in the first place. Whether you're overwhelmed at home, struggling with your job, recently lost a loved one, became a Mom who is trying to figure out how to do all this stuff...it will change.
I have never been the most patient person, and they are right...it's really a virtue, but every day a little bit of life seems to press on me to remind me of something new.
The seasons of change...they don't last forever. As I mentioned the other day, life is what you make it. Here's a few things I really believe will help you get through the change:
Wake up with good intentions- set out to make it a good day. Whether a stop at your favorite coffee shop, an extra long nap in the afternoon, or enjoying the sunshine in the light of day. Find something good to pick out of each day.
Accept the negative, but focus on the positive. You may have a bad day. Stop, process what happened...shake it off and remember that Rome wasn't built in a day. Something better will happen tomorrow.
Work on one thing each day to get you through the change. Whether it's reading a self-help book on your time management skills, polishing your resume or praying for some guidance...taking time to acknowledge that you are working hard on getting past this season is important.
I promise you that you'll make it through this season of change. You will find your sense of direction, maybe after a storm or two...but there is always some sunshine in the end. Take it one day at a time and remember that all things are possible with some positivity and hard work.
You got this!
