August Favorites

I have no idea how it's already September. The days go by quicker each month, a true reminder to enjoy every moment big or small for sure.

Today I'm recapping August with Macy from To Travel & Beyond for our Monthly Recap link-up. I love hearing what everyone was up to, so be sure to add your link at the bottom of this post and join us ((the first Tuesday of every month)).

Favorite Purchase: My new bike! I haven't had one since I was a child, so this is definitely exciting. I mentioned a little more about it during my 101 in 1001 post, but it's purple and it's awesome...that pretty much sums it up.

Favorite Blogging Tip: Erica always has killer blog tips that don't make you question every little thing you're doing with your blog. She gives great advice that makes sense and is very thorough about it. I've read about a hundred "How To Write The Best About Me" posts and Erica's took it a bit further. I noted a few tips and am working on implementing them to make a standout about me page.

Favorite Recipe: Mary is a girl after my own heart. She is always baking up some deliciousness in the kitchen and won me over with this Caramel Macchiato Coffee Cupcake concoction. I mean, coffee and cupcakes go together like Emelia and cupcakes. I cannot wait to make these myself, they look so good!

Favorite Moment: This was a hard one to narrow down since we did so much, but the Kanye West concert was probably the best. I LOVE concerts and it was a nice date night and quick road trip for Chuck and I which is always fun. Kanye was amazing, but don't worry I'm not suggesting he be the next President.

Favorite DIY: If you know me at all you know I loooove a good DIY. I'm pretty excited for our schedule to slow down so I can work on some more ideas of my own. Biana shared a great blueberry face mask she made with only 3 ingredients and it's so easy! I really enjoy beauty DIY's so this one caught my eye and I'm planning on whipping it up for my face soon.

Favorite Creation: I had so much fun making a new gift for my friend's baby shower. It's perfect for any coffee loving Mama and was incredibly simple to make. I really can't wait to make it again, it seriously was a foolproof DIY baby gift.

Favorite Inspirational Post: "I don't just love. I adore." Christine's post about living with passion spoke to me, most likely since I'm the same way. She talks about finding happiness in the everyday and holding on to it and LOVING the things we do. If you're stuck in a rut, wondering what your passion is, or just needed a confidence booster or a smile must read this post.

Favorite Family Time: We did a lot of great things this month as a family but my favorite experience was the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. It was jam packed full of fun activities and beautiful sights to see. I'm so glad we got to experience such a beautiful place not too far from home. I plan on doing a recap about our visit soon.

Favorite "YES GIRL" post: I've always loved Lindsay's posts, she has this way with saying what's on her mind and doing it well. This post about finding your passion really spoke to me because as she mentions in it, "I didn't realize in the midst of my stumble, I was finding my passion." We may not all be in love with our 9-5 but these paths we take can help us find pieces of what we enjoy to complete what we need from life.
