DIY: Raspberry Lip Scrub

Last week I ran out of my favorite LUSH popcorn lip scrub and sadly we don't have a store nearby. The winter air has been doing a number on my skin this season and my lips are more dry than ever before. I like to exfoliate almost daily, especially this time of the year, so waiting for something to be shipped to me isn't always an option.

One thing I love about a lot of DIY projects is that they come together with the use of things from around your home. I've made lip scrubs in the past, but wanted something a little different this time around.

You will need:
6 tablespoons sugar (brown or white will work)
3 tablespoons coconut oil
4 raspberries

To make:
Put all your ingredients in a small bowl and mix together with a small metal spoon. I smashed the raspberries in to the sugar and mixed from there.
If you feel the scrub is too wet you can add more sugar, or if it is too dry you can add more raspberries.
Once it is all well mixed together- place it in a container and store in a coo, dry place for up to 3 weeks.
To use you can gently rub a small amount on your lips. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Viola- smooth lips!

Let me know if you try it's definitely the perfect mix to get your lips ready for Valentine's Day!! The sweet smell of raspberry and the fun hints of pink make it a nice treat for this holiday.
