Happy New Year friends! I hope the weekend was good to you and that all of you enjoyed every moment celebrating, relaxing or whatever makes you happy.
To be honest, I'm not big on resolutions.
I try to be a better person every day. Does it always work? No. Will I stop trying? Nope.
I'm forever trying to find ways to channel my anxiety, bite my tongue before saying something I don't mean and handling stress better. I hope that each day I learn new things and am a little bit better of a person than the day or month I was before.
As mentioned in my recap of the year post last week, 2015 was the best year. I want to talk about some things from 2015 one more time today by sharing my favorites from December.
Favorite Post: Stopping To Take It All In from Chelsea at The Girl Who Loved To Write. I seriously adore Chelsea's writing and her blog. She has such a beautiful way with words and always manages to put a smile across my face. With all the hustle and craziness of December, she reminds us how important the quiet times are too.
Favorite Moment: Celebrating Ethan's birthday at his party. I love seeing him grow each year and the level of excitement he lets out just having fun and running around makes me incredibly happy. December will always be a special month thanks to him.
Favorite Recipe: Italian Love Cake...that just sounds dreamy. Then, when I saw the ingredients I couldn't help but fall...in love, right?! Thank you to Don't Sweat the Recipe for this incredible recipe.
Favorite Purchase: I never buy much in December because it's an expensive month all around. I was looking for bowls to create my own hot cocoa bar on our dining room buffet and found something even more perfect. This ceramic muffin pan had to come home with me, and it already has spots for all the ingredients. A sweet client at the salon gifted me the adorable gingerbread house earlier that day, so when I saw the pan with the gingerbread men on it I knew it was a great addition.
Favorite Blogging Post: Anne from Love The Here and Now always has great series and collaborations. She talks about How To Collaborate With Other Bloggers which is definitely something I would love to do more of this year.
December went by way too quick, so as we enter 2016 I want to remember to cherish every moment and take it all in a little longer. I am excited to see what the new year brings, as I always seem to enter it with a new state of mind.
Stay tuned tomorrow, I have a fun announcement that I'm really excited to tell you all about!
