Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Pops

My sweet tooth happens to be pretty intense. I love chocolate and sweets and most times I have to completely say no to something just so I don't over-do it. When it comes to the a holiday though, I say go all in. My latest kitchen experiment does just that...deliciousness on every level.

You will need:

Large marshmallows
Chocolate wafers
Straws or sticks
Parchment paper

To make:

Cut a small slit in the top of the marshmallow so you can insert your straw or stick.

Insert the straw and then put them in the freezer for 5-7 minutes. This helps adhere your marshmallow to the straw more securely. I gently twisted the straw as I inserted it and that seemed to work great.

While the marshmallows are in the freezer you can melt your chocolate in the microwave on medium heat. Make sure to stir every 30 seconds. Add food coloring if desired at this point.

Next is the best part...decorating! Dip the frozen marshmallow in the chocolate. You will want to tap the excess off. After they are dipped in chocolate you can adorn them with your sprinkles.

I put chocolate in one bowl and poured my sprinkles out of their container in to another bowl.

To dry you can stand them stick up on parchment paper. Once fully dry make sure to wrap them so they don't go bad.

If you're feeling really fun, you can tie on one of my festive printables and make it an extra Happy Halloween!

I hope you all have a great Halloween weekend...I can't believe the next time we're here it will be November. Enjoy the fun...and don't eat *too much* candy!!
