What Beauty Means To Me

Welcome to another "You Are Beautiful" linkup, I'm glad you are here.

I hope that these posts help you relate with other women, make you feel good about yourself, and most importantly make you realize that YOU are beautiful. Too often this world tears us down whether it's through advertisements on what the average woman should look like or bullying. Lauren & I want to create a community of self-love and empowerment and I hope that you feel the love each time you visit.

Today our prompt is, "What does beauty mean to you?" I could talk forever about this subject, but to save all of us I've decided to list some amazing things that I've witnessed lately that define beauty to me.

A young cashier at a grocery store paying for a family's grocery bill that they couldn't fully afford. She didn't hesitate reaching in her pocket and pulling out money to put in the self-checkout machine for a mother and her two children.

A co-worker who already has 3 rescue dogs take yet another pup in who was left on the side of the road. She cared for this dog for the past week while spending the time to find a family to adopt the dog because she isn't able to keep it. Selflessness is so beautiful.

A friend who made a big move and had confidence beaming through the phone with the purchase of a new home.

A few co-workers consoling each other after a rough day with a hug. The reassurance they gave one another that "tomorrow is a new day & that you learn from your mistakes" was seriously incredible and moving.

A friend who is working extra hard to pursue a lifelong dream. Her dedication and determination is indescribable.

Beauty isn't skin deep, and I hope as our world keeps evolving and rapidly changing that we continue to drive that point home. Beauty is confidence. Beauty is persevering in tough times. Beauty is helping others when they need it the most.

Continue to dream big, I believe that the workers and the dreamers are the most beautiful. Be kind because that is when you are most appealing.

Remember, you are beautiful.
