Fresh Start

It's pretty obvious that I'm a new blogger. No recap of the year that was ready to go before 2014 ended, no list of my most read posts....forgive me, I'm still learning.

I can say that 2014 was amazing overall, but would love to share some highlights.
Gather around my internet dinner table, while I share the peaks and pits of my year.

Peaks:
1. Started my blog...and met some incredible people because of it
2. Got engaged!!!!!
3. Went on our first cruise to the Bahamas
4. Started a new job
5. Volunteered for my 4th consecutive year at the Highmark Caring Place

Pits:
1. Didn't save as much money as I would have liked
2. Got too overwhelmed, as always, during the end of the year resulting in my blog lacking
3. Failed to reach my fitness goals
4. Stressed more than I should

I'm not a big resolution type of girl. I am trying harder every day to be a person I love and that others can relate to.

Thinking more before I speak, learning how to channel my anxiety, and being a more patient human are things I want to accomplish personally this year.

Taking better pictures, learning more about SEO and the analytics, and getting to know more people in the blog world are goals for Dream Big & Buy the Shoes in 2015.

I hope that each and every one of you has an amazing start to the New Year. My favorite thing about this time is that it is a fresh start, a chance to regain a new positive mindset for what's ahead. It's great what a new year can do for all of us.

From the depths of my heart I want to thank you all for reading, sharing my posts, getting to know me and coming back for more of Dream Big & Buy the Shoes. Starting this blog was a big dream of mine that came to life and has given me so much to look foward to every day. I never knew how much fun I would have, the things I could learn, and the opportunities that would come about when I started. I am looking forward to a full year of blogging and getting to know all of you, and especially myself even better. Thank you for reading.

Cheers to a healthy, happy, and insanely great New Year. Dream BIG!

  14. Congratulations on getting engaged! I didn't meet my fitness goal for 2014 either, but I guess I have a pretty good excuse.. I got pregnant, LOL. But 2015 will definitely be the year!
