Perks of Being Engaged : Winning At Life Right Now

If you're not engaged, that's perfectly okay. It took me a long time to get here. There were the boyfriends from college that were usually too drunk to function as a good man, the ones after college who didn't know what the hell they wanted to do with their lives, and some that were just okay.
I found my match when I least expected it. We dated for six years until he recently made the big move and put a ring on it. Chuck is lucky he got wise before our cruise to the Bahamas or else he may have gone overboard.

If you're already married, that's awesome too. I someday will be in your position...just not right now, and not this year. We are aiming for a date in the fall of 2015 and are in the process of choosing a venue before we set an exact date.

My personal perks &why I think being engaged is great:
- I will never have to hear again, "Is he going to propose soon or what?!"
-No one is asking "So, when are you going to start having babies?"
- I get a valid reason to search Pinterest for endless hours
-My mission has become acquiring a pair of Louboutin's for the Big Day (anyone have a few extra dollars?)
-I have a really good focus on getting fit and lean again
-I get to plan this really big awesome party (I LOVE parties)
-I own a new piece of jewelry that I didn't pay for
-Manicures at all times are a must. That means time at the salon or buying new nail polish colors
- I get to wear shirts that say "FEYONCE" --That's cool.
-I am able leave the house looking a hot mess and feel okay about it. I have a ring on my finger. Someone out there loves me.
-I can ask my best girls to stand by me on my special day and celebrate this new life changing event
-I don't have to cook anymore  Well I don't have to worry that he's judging my domestic skills at this point

and my favorite perk...

I haven't even reached the best part,
the one where I get to spend the rest of my life married to my best friend.

Engaged

Thank you Chuck for taking me off the market so I can experience all these awesome benefits. You're my number one on this list, even if you are a little crazy.

  3. Just wait until your wedding day. The engagement might stop the question about babies for now, but during our reception people began to ask me about when we were going to start trying.
