Another Monday is upon us. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. It was a HOT one here, but I actually enjoyed being out there and letting the rays beat down on me. I may have sweat a little, but it's good for the soul every once in a while...even if you are in a maxi dress!
I'm linking up with Katie from Healthy Diva Life for #MIMM: Marvelous In My Monday to share some fun happenings.

The zoo is one place I can never get sick of. No matter how many times we visit in the spring and summer months it's always so much fun!
This Sunday we hadn't planned to visit and were literally sitting at the stoplight outside the zoo when Ethan asked, "Can we PLEASE go visit the animals?" I have the softest spot in my heart for Ethan's love of animals. So instead of going straight we immediately made a left turn in to the Erie Zoo.
Ethan must have known that we are trying to stick to a better budget these days, because it was FREE to get in. I forgot that the Zoo has no admission fees for the last few hours on Sundays. I was prepared to be overwhelmed by all the craziness, but the previous thunderstorms from earlier in the day must have scared everyone away.

Ethan is quite the character and so many of the pictures I capture make me laugh harder than I probably should. I'll let you be the judge of the silly scale of pictures though.

A Staring Contest and a game of Peek-A-Boo with the Orangutan Family
Ethan's musical skills are also on point. If he doesn't grow up to be a Vet or a ZooKeeper I'm guessing he will be a musician.
It was a good day to say the least. As far as Monday's come I'm hoping to get this one off on a good foot. I'm participating in Skinny Meg's 12 Week Challenge. There's no denying I could aim to lose a few pounds. With the wedding coming, and the fact that I'm not getting any younger it is time to get ahold of my health again.
For me it's not all about being thin. I want to FEEL good again and have the energy to get up and be happy every day. Writing in this public place will help keep me accountable and I'm pretty excited about sharing my progress with all of you.
That's all I have today...I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week. I'm ready to bust out my red, white and blue and Celebrate some America this weekend!
Anyone else working on new fitness or health goals?
What do we think about this new font?
Leave me some love below!

I haven't taken my son to the zoo in too long! He wasn't really into it before but now I think would enjoy it more. He just turned three in May and is really into animals. I'm hosting a Paleo Challenge on my blog mainly beacause I need it! I've slacked off, gained a few pounds and have been feeling off so I'm looking forward to a reboot! Good luck in yours!
ReplyDeleteYes we LOVE the zoo and you can't beat free! Thanks so much...I'm hoping to get back on track! Good luck in yours too and thanks for reading!
